What are the EMI TG12412 and TG12414?
The TG12412 and TG12414 are modules which were built by EMI in the early 1970s as part of the TG12410 mastering console. The TG12412 is an EQ and the TG12414 is a presence/filter unit.
What are the key features of the plug-ins?
The TG12412 is a four band EQ with frequencies based on half-octaves and third-octaves around middle-C (256 Hz), which is believed to account for the natural, musical sound of the original module.
The Shape control allows the low- and high-shelf settings to be applied to any frequency, rather than just low and high frequency bands.
TG12414 plug-in provides a presence control and low- and high-pass filters. The presence section is provides the same EQ points as the classic TG12345 mixing console.
